Hi everyone,
Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas where ever you are! Whether you celebrate it Christmas or not, I hope you are surrounded by your loved ones and feeling blessed. I know I am! It’s so lovely to spend time with my loved ones, in a calm atmosphere, especially after the year we have had with the wedding planning.
I managed to get a bit of last minute sewing in, and I’m so happy with my makes.
On Christmas Eve eve I decided I wanted some nice Christmassy jumpers so I quickly cut it all out while watching Harry Potter, and did my Sewing on Christmas Eve morning… talk about last minute, hey!
So I opted for Lindens as I know they are super fast to sew. After the penguin Linden, I decided to go down a size to a size 8. I also extended the bodice by 2” (I prefer the slightly longer length for definitely tummy coverage no matter what I’m running around doing), and I also made the cuffs an inch smaller so they are more snug around my wrist. I love the adaptions I have made, and it definitely means I love these jumpers a lot more than the penguin one!
The gold floral fabric is from Fabworks Mill Shop and has been sitting in my stash for ages. So I’m pleased to finally get some use out of it.
The Christmas fairisle fabric is from Girl Charlee UK, which I ordered in their flash sale and cut it out as soon as it arrived! I’m super happy with my pattern matching down the side of the jumper… what side seam ey?! 😉
Big love for the new year everyone,
Love, Abigail x
